Maroon Group, a specialty chemical supplier located in Avon, Ohio, presented at the Cleveland Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) on February 19, 2015. The presentation was attended by a group of engineering professionals, as well as students and faculty members from several local Cleveland universities, including Case Western Reserve and Cleveland State.

In Maroon Group’s presentation, Mike McKenna, chief operating Officer, and Howard Hubert, chief commercial officer, discussed the development of a global supply chain in the specialty chemical distribution business and the challenges and opportunities presented with international business. Maroon Group has over three decades of global sourcing and logistics experience, and presented many insights on reducing supply chain risks to the audience. After the presentation, the speakers opened up the floor and fielded questions about the complexities of conducting business internationally, as well as cross culture business practices.
